StorHub - StorTera

The Storhub is a highly versatile energy storage system which combines our intelligent
hybrid inverter technology, TRAICON control system and ultra-safe lithium ferrous
phosphate (LFP) battery modules in a standardised shipping container to meet the
requirements of our industrial customers.

Commercial energy storage capacity is scalable from 75kWh to 2MWh to provide energy Capacity, Resilience & Security. A range of power output options are available depending on individual installation requirements.

Predictive Intelligent Energy Control

The TRAICON platform is an agile software product developed by StorTera to optimise
the performance of our BESS products. Developed in the UK with high data security,
TRAICON provides a unified interface for asset integration as well as in-built AI
prediction tools that enable maximum utilisation of renewables and energy savings.

Using TRAICON, StorHubs can manage on-site sources, such as solar arrays and turbines to ensure maximum use of generation and storage to avoid peak energy costs and reduce your Levelised Cost of Energy.

StorHub utilizes lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) technology, known for its safety and longevity. LFP is regarded as the safest technology because it has a higher thermal stability and discharges at a steady, sustained rate. We have created our own patented Battery Management System (BMS) that regulates the efficiency of our modules to unprecedented levels (+90% efficiency) and is integrated into all systems.

Interoperability
Our JSON and MODBUS communications easily connect to any SCADA system for integration with any existing systems. Our application programming interface (API) also connects to SCADA. Power conditioning happens in our trusted vendors hybrid inverter. We have up to five redundancies in chunks of 250kW to ensure continued operation in the event of a failure.
Safety
Superior safety is achieved through a combination of LFP battery chemistry, cell and module level battery management and aerosol-based fire suppression inside every module, all co-ordinated through the TRAICON platform. The advanced PCS system ensures security of supply while the advanced power conditioning features minimise problems such as harmonics on your supply, ensuring a safer, more reliable electricity supply for your site.

Cyber Security

The StorHub has been designed with a Cyber-Security first approach. StorHubs communicate with our secure cloud servers through dedicated TRAICON VPN tunnels utilising TLS 1.3 with AES256 encryption for all communications. The TRAICON Watchdog is continuously monitoring for any bad actors accessing the system with Two Factor Authentication and breach reporting as standard.

Bespoke Systems

All StorHubs are built with a client first approach, meaning that they will be configured and deployed to meet the unique needs of every site they are deployed to.

Interoperability

Our JSON and MODBUS communications enable real-time monitoring, reporting and control of energy assets installed at StorHub locations. Through the powerful TRAICON platform, energy assets can be controlled in the unified energy asset control interface.
The TRAICON API enables the StorHub to communicate
with third party platforms or control schemes, enabling Wholesale Market Trading, Demand Side Response, Optimisation, Smart Grid asset co-ordination and many more integrations.

Scalability

StorHubs come in IP54 rated enclosures suitable for indoor and outdoor applications with in-built HVAC units to ensure safe temperature and humidity within the units in most environments.
Future expansion can be achieved by simply linking StorHubs together in parallel. Alternatively, energy
expansion can be built into the StorHub specification at project inception, allowing for the system to grow with the site simply and effectively.
